The European Union has established passengers rights as regards airlines and is working on strengthening them. These are the main rights enjoyed by passengers
Compensation and deadlines covering luggage incidents
"The right to compensation has its objective basis in accidents or damage and will proceed up to the limits of responsibility established in this section" (Montreal Convention and y Annexes CE Regulations 2027/1997 y 889/2002).
