Italy border controls are temporarily restored within the Schengen zone

In view of the G7 summit in Taormina at the end of May, Italy border controls are temporarily restored within the Schengen zone and the police perform border controls on all travellers from 10 to 30 May, 2017, both inclusive.

Because of this reason, EU travellers should have a valid ID card or passport with them and non-EU citizens should have a valid passport and a visa if required due to their nationality.

As specific information about passengers is required before starting your trip, to avoid problems and delays, we recommend you to provide us with your Advance Passenger Information before going to the airport. You can call our telephone number in Spain: 901 111 500 or in Italy: 199 101 191. From any other country, please consult Serviberia.

If you cannot include your information in advance, you will have to contact our check-in counters on arriving at the airport in order to comply with this exceptional measure, reason why we ask you to get to the airport with as much time in advance as possible.

In any case, we would advise you to have your personal travel documents on hand and to allow extra time to transit passport controls at the airport.
