You’ll get vertigo but the views are definitely worth it.

The John Hancock Observatory

Do you want to enjoy the best views of the city?

Not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo, you only have to go out onto the open-air Sky Walk to appreciate just why Chicago is known as ‘the windy city’. At dusk, from Floor 94 you can watch the spectacular sunset as the city lights up below, a sight you will probably never forget. It is also a good way of getting to know Chicago better as there are interactive screens in seven languages which you can use to locate any monument or place that interests you. The tower is among the 40 highest towers in the world. The cheapest ticket is $18 but to find out about other ways of visiting go to: http://jhochicago.com. If you want to visit several city sights, we recommend the City Pass which will give you discounts at the Shedd Aquarium, Skydeck, the Field Museum, the Museum of Science or the John Hancock Observatory and the Adler Planetarium or the Art Institute. (For more information go to: http://www.citypass.com/chicago.)
