How about a hike in nature right near Madrid (as in, easily reachable via Metro line 9)? The Tajuña Greenway is a track 49 kilometres (30 miles) long which links the towns of Arganda del Rey and Morata de Tajuña along an old railway line. From Arganda there are two points of entry - the 3-kilometre (2-mile) stretch from the old La Poveda Sugar Mill level crossing or from Avenida del Ejército, one of Arganda's main streets.
