Gourmands accustomed to Mediterranean cuisine accompanied by good wine, will doubtless be surprised by its northern equivalent: Danish cuisine accompanied by an extensive menu of artisan beers. And the greatest exponent of this tradition is the Nørrebro brewery, founded in 2003 on the Ryesgade road, where eight different specialities are brewed with fermented barley. Here beer is central to their menus, (with more than five different types on the table), seasoning, marinade and even to accompany dessert, prepared with exquisite Danish cheeses. The bottles designed exclusively for this production have won design awards and have become a tourist attraction and souvenir of Copenhagen, so if you enjoyed the brewery experience, don't hesitate to check out their limited editions.
