In order to pass through Westminster to get to Soho, you have to cross Leicester Square, between Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly and Covent Garden and, although it's famous for its cinemas, this is a strategic area to make a stop, on any excursion, to have lunch in one of the restaurants which are characterized by their tranquillity and service. Should you be searching to spend a while in somewhere peaceful, Leicester Bar & Restaurant on St. Martin's Street is a safe bet to find affordable prices and painstaking service. But it's also worth walking a little towards Piccadilly Street and to go up to 5th View which is a restaurant where you can enjoy the most "European" view of the city while you eat, and since it's not at any great height, you will only feel a little higher than the city's flat roofs to see the dominant rooftops of the Elizabeth Tower and Westminster Abbey. On the other hand, if you don't want to stop the rhythm, turning back a little to the area is enough to find a terrace where you can sit down and grab a bite to eat or have a coffee; a great way to watch the city in motion.
