Café de Flore

Picturesque corner

Founded in 1890, this picturesque café sits on a pretty corner at the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district and played a central role in the city’s intellectual and literary past. In fact, in its day the Café de Flore was a regular meeting place for big names such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, Truman Capote and Simone de Beauvoir. Teas, coffees, wines, mixers and aperitifs are served in its lavishly art deco dining room, alongside dishes found in any typical French bistro. On a sunny day, its bustling open-air tables are well worth a visit... Who knows, you might even bump into one of the city’s famous actors! Find out more at www.cafedeflore.fr.
