One of the contemporary monuments of greater international projection is the architecture of the 'Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot', which opened its doors in September 2004. Its name - José Miguel Agrelot, which is the name of a Puerto Rican celebrity comedian, was surrounded by controversy because they wanted to pay homage to a cultural reference of the country but by law, the reference couldn't be a living person. It turned out that, Agrelot died shortly before the inauguration and they were able to use his name as a tribute. The Coliseum is the biggest indoor arena in the country with a capacity of 18,500 people and it's located on the Golden Mile of San Juan with easy access via public transport. The initial objective of this project was the 2004 Olympics, which finally took place in Athens. Lastly, most of its revenues generate from shows, concerts and mass entertainment.
