Arriving at Terminal T1
With connections to the city of Barcelona and other points of interests by taxi, bus, local trains (via T2). It also has parking for 12,000 vehicles for anyone arriving by private car.>
Taxi
T1 has two taxi stands. A main stand with room for 24 taxis picking up passengers simultaneously and a waiting area with room for 250 taxis; and a stand in the Barcelona-Madrid corridor, where the Puente Aéreo is, with room for 12 taxis picking up passengers simultaneously, and a waiting area for 200 taxis.
Buses:
Five metropolitan bus routes connect the Terminal with various points in the city and province of Barcelona. A further 4 inter-urban routes connect T1 with different tourist areas such as the Costa Brava, the Costa Dorada, Andorra and Port Aventura, as well as Girona, Tarragona and Lleida.
The Aerobús connects the airport with Plaza de Catalunya in Barcelona.
The bus stops are located in the arrivals roadway (Floor 0) and/or in the departures roadway (Floor 3)
Local Trains
Initially, the train service will operate from the Cercanías station in T2. There will be a bus service from there leaving to coincide with the arrival of the trains and connecting both terminals in a trip lasting just 10 minutes.
There is also a shuttle bus service connecting the two terminals every 7 minutes.
Private car:
Barcelona and T1 are connected by the C31 and the C32, and from these by the B-22 turn-off
Parking service:
Barcelona airport's T1 has two public parking areas with more than 12,000 places between them. One comprises two nine-storey buildings (9,400 places) and a ground-floor car park (1,600 places) with direct access to the Terminal; and another long-stay car park (1,059 places) two kilometres from T1.
The new parking building comprises two nine-storey blocks, each of which is divided into three modules (modules A, B and C in the first block; D, E and F in the second). There are 108 places reserved for people with reduced mobility on the second floor of both blocks.
A bus shuttle service connects the long-stay car park with Terminal T1 (stopping on the arrivals roadway and the departures roadway) between 7.00 and 24.00, running every 12 minutes for T1. An on-demand service is offered at night.
