Iberia Gruppe
Iberia is an international air transport group that has been in continuous operation since it was founded in 1927. Passenger and goods transportation is its main, although not only, activity. Among other services, the company also carries out the maintenance of its planes along with those of around 50 other companies, including some of Europe's most important airlines. It also provides plane and passenger services (handling), at all airports in Spain, with more than 250 airline companies as clients.
The company is also a founding member of oneworld, one of the world's largest airline alliances, which enables it to offer its clients around 600 destinations with the best connections.
Currently, Iberia Group flies non-stop to around 100 destinations as well as some 90 code-sharing destinations with other airline companies. This broad offering makes the company one of Europe's main airlines. In 2005, the company carried 32.4 million passengers worldwide and posted net profits that year of €395.8 million.
