Additional and overweight baggage
If you have more items of baggage than those allowed in your free baggage allowance, you can check them in at the airport or prepay the extra baggage with a discount autocheck-in online 24 hours before your flight leaves when you check in (view available departure airports).
If any of your items weighs more or is bigger than the maximum set limit, you will have to pay the excess weight charge directly at the airport check-in desk.
Ensure that you are at the check-in desk at least 20 minutes before the recommended time if you are travelling with excess baggage.

(1) A free baggage allowance for 2 items weighing 32 kg applies to/from Brazil for tourist classes and 3 items weighing 32 kg in Business Plus. A free baggage allowance for 2 standard items applies to/from Uruguay and Paraguay in economy tourist class.
(2) No excess weight charge will apply to Business or Iberia Plus Platinum, Gold or Club Fiesta customers if the total weight of their baggage does not exceed their personal free baggage allowance weight. Tickets issued with resident discount in The Canaries, Balearics, Ceuta and Melilla, an excess weight charge of 15€ will be applied on the first suitcase, except for IB5000 series flights.
(3) A free baggage allowance for 3 standard items in Business and 2 standard items in tourist applies to/from Equatorial Guinea (application period for tourist class: from 16/01 to 15/06 and from 21/09 to 20/11). A free baggage allowance for 2 standard items in tourist applies to/from Nigeria and Senegal. For these three countries (Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria and Senegal), the price per additional piece of permitted baggage is 150€.

You are allowed an unlimited number of items in addition to your free baggage allowance, except for routes with specific restrictions (such as Africa, with the exception of Johannesburg, the limit for which is only one extra item of baggage). Due to aircraft cargo capacity limitation, on flights operated by Iberia Regional Air Nostrum with numbers from the IB8000 flight series, extra baggage allowance is restricted to a maximum of one item per customer in high season.

When you have completed a booking, you will find details about the airline operating your flight at bookings management. Check with the operator airline to confirm your free baggage allowance and other restrictions.
