What electronic devices are covered by this change of security regulations?
All electronic devices and mains powered electrical items such as tablets, telephones,e-books, laptops are included in these additional searches.
At airport security controls you will be asked to put aside all the electronic devices out of their case and in a separate tray for the security teams to have them scanned.
Once at the gate, you will be also asked to turn on any electrical or battery powered devices such as telephones, tablets, e-books and laptops in front of security teams and/or demonstrate the item's functionality.
What happens if I don't have any power left in my electronic device?
Please do all you can to ensure that any electronic device you have is fully powered before you arrive at the airport, because if your electronic devices do not power up, they cannot be carried on board the flight with you.
What if my electronic device is broken?
Please do not bring any broken devices in your hand luggage to the airport as they will not be able to travel as planned.
What will happen if my electronic device is left behind at the airport?
If as a result of the security inspection your item is not allowed as hand luggage you will be asked to complete a form and your device will be kept at the airport and can be collected on your return at our lost&found desk or contact us by e-mail at email@example.com, or use our service “Lost and found” at iberia.com.
Which is the limit time to collect my electronic device?
Due to limited storage space we will hold onto them for a maximum of one month.
I have just purchased a new electronic item from an airport shop, can I carry it on board if it has no power?
Customers must be prepared to demonstrate that the item has power. Please do all you can to ensure that any new electronic items you purchase at the airport have power before you reach the boarding gate.
Can I use a mobile boarding card as normal?
Yes, but please ensure that any electronic devices, you have your mobile boarding pass on, have enough battery life and power to be used at the airport during the inspection.
