      The Avios required to book a flight will depend on the season and the class of the booking. 4,500 Avios are equivalent to a low-season flight within the Iberian Peninsula.

    Vueling takes you to more than 130 destinations, including the principal cities in Spain, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. With Vueling you can add Avios to Iberia Club balance and use them to get discounts on flights and other benefits offered through the programme. You'll also collect Elite Points to either maintain your card tier or upgrade to the next one.

    How can I earn Avios?

    Enter your card number when you book your flight or when you check in.

    Flown with Vueling in the last 6 months and the Avios are not yet in your account? You have up to six months from the date of your flight to claim them by clicking call center

    EARNING ELITE POINTS AND AVIOS
    For each flight you take with a Vueling, you can earn:

    • Avios, the currency accumulated in your balance, which can be redeemed for flights and other opportunities.

    • Elite Points, the currency used as a measure and maintain or gain access to elite card tiers.

    The earning of Avios is related to the following criteria:

    • Actual distance flown based on miles and flight class (Cabin)

    • Minimum Avios (flight class)

    Iberia Club members can earn Avios by multiplying the total ticket expenditure by 2 or 4, depending on the fare chosen for the journey.
    Eligible spend: In addition to spending on the flight itself, you can earn Avios on additional services purchased during the flight booking process. Please note that cancellation insurance and credit card fees are not included.

    EXCEPTIONS FOR EARNING AVIOS AND ELITE POINTS:

    • Avios redemption fares do not accumulate Avios or Elite Points.

    • If, due to circumstances beyond the control of Iberia Club, the accumulable spending on a flight cannot be determined, awards will be given according to the table based on distance and cabin (oneworld).
     

    NOTES FOR AVIOS AND ELITE POINTS:

    • Avios and Elite Points depend on net spending (fare and carrier charges), excluding taxes and fees applied to your ticket on Vueling coded (VY) flights operated by Vueling (VY) or Iberia (IB) operated by Vueling (VY).

    • Elite Points depend on the class in which you make the booking and the distance in miles corresponding to each journey on Vueling (VY) coded flights operated by Iberia (IB).

    • To claim uncredited Avios on flights operated by Vueling (VY), please contact your service centre. For Iberia (IB) coded flights, you can do this through Iberia.com.

    • Iberia reserves the right to exclude fares from the earning of Elite Points and Avios.

    Different tariffs for peak and off-peak for flights charged to Avios are introduced.
    The peak and off-peak dates are common to all the companies to which the tables apply.

    NOTES

    • The bands are determined by the distance between origin and destination (per flight). A return ticket will cost twice a single ticket.

    • This Avios use table has exceptions, meaning that not all flights whose distance corresponds to some band are included in the band (for instance, the Barcelona-Tenerife flight, of 1380 miles, is in band 2 instead of band 3).

    • Iberia reserves the right to modify the Avios use table, as well as to schedule its routes and flights.

    • Booking and issue of tickets charged to your Avios for flights operated by Vueling (and code IB) are exempt from booking fees if made through Iberia.com. There will be an additional charge per ticket when the booking is made through its Service Center (except for Platinum clients, who are exempt).
