Iberia Express is the new subsidiary company of Iberia that was created in order to cover short and medium-haul flights.
The airline, based in Madrid, offers the same level of service quality and experience as the first ever Spanish airline company. As such, the passenger can expect the same benefits that flying with Iberia constantly provides on a day-to-day basis: flights to main airports, Iberia Plus program, VIP rooms, onboard service, Business class, multi-frequency, connections to over 100 destinations, and the security that the companys maintenance, recognized as one of the best in the world, offers.
Throughout 2012, Iberia Express will operate to more than 20 destinations in Spain and Europe, with a fleet of 14 airplanes. By the summer season, the airline will offer 18 routes to domestic and European locations.
In addition, the new airline will incorporate new destinations such as Riga (Latvia) and Mikonos (Greece), with the aim of expanding the flights on offer from Madrid during the summer period.
For each flight flown with Iberia you will be able to obtain:
- Avios, currency that you accumulate in your Iberia Plus balance which allows you to redeem for flights and other opportunities offered by Iberia Plus programme.
- Elite Points, currency that is obtained exclusively on flights and is used to maintain or upgrade to elite card levels.
