The airline tracks its history back to 1957 when the first commercial flight was made from the military airfield in Novosibirsk Region served by Tolmachevsky United Air Group. Sibir Airlines was formed around this air group. Since 2005 Sibir flies under S7Airlines brand. S7 Airlines operates the largest domestic flight network in Russia built around the three hubs in Moscow (Domodedovo), Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) and Irkutsk. Now S7 operates the most modern and "youngest" fleet in Russia with the average aircraft age of 6 years. All flights are served with foreign Airbus and Boeing aircraft only.
