Since its launch in 1978, airberlin has grown into Germany's second largest airline - and the sixth biggest in Europe in terms of passengers boarded - after taking over Deutsche BA and LTU and gaining a 49.9 per cent stake in Austria's NIKI and a 49 per cent holding in Switzerland's Belair.

It serves 162 destinations in 40 countries, carrying more than 35 million passengers in 2011. Its fleet comprises 170 aircraft with an average age of five years, making it one of the most modern and fuel efficient fleets in Europe, contributing towards a long-term reduction in emissions. The group employs 9,200 staff.

It has developed from its origins in the shorthaul leisure market to cater also for business travellers with its Euro Shuttle service providing high frequency connections between many of the continent's key destinations and now also flies longhaul.

It is one of Europe's most frequent winners in the various airline industry award schemes. S7 Airlines

The airline tracks its history back to 1957 when the first commercial flight was made from the military airfield in Novosibirsk Region served by Tolmachevsky United Air Group. Sibir Airlines was formed around this air group. Since 2005 Sibir flies under S7Airlines brand. S7 Airlines operates the largest domestic flight network in Russia built around the three hubs in Moscow (Domodedovo), Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) and Irkutsk. S7 Airlines makes regular flights to Europe, Middle East, Southern Asia and Asian Pacific destinations.
Now S7 operates the most modern and "youngest" fleet in Russia with the average aircraft age of 6 years. All flights are served with foreign Airbus and Boeing aircraft only. S7 has 32 aircrafts on its fleet: 19 Airbus A319s, nine Airbus 320s, two Airbus 310s and two long-haul Boeing 767-300s. S7 is actively developing cooperation with leading international carriers. Partnership agreements provide an opportunity for the airline to offer booking of flights operated by over 70 airlines, for hundreds of destination all over the world. Malaysia Airlines

Malaysia Airlines describes its distinctive brand is an extension of the special culture of warmth and friendliness unique to Malaysians. This inimitable Malaysian sense of graciousness is branded as “Malaysian Hospitality” and symbolized by the acronym MH, which is also the airline’s flight code.

Japan Airlines

JAL´s international network includes over 240 passenger routes and 36 cargo routes. The domestic network covers 166 routes. Japan Airlines International is Asia´s biggest airline in terms of the number of passengers carried. In 2006 58 million passengers flew with JAL. The airline as it is today was formed on October 1st 2006, following the unification of Japan Airlines International and Japan Airlines Domestic. Now JAL and its seven subsidiary airlines make a total of up to 1,200 domestic and international routes passenger flights a day. Originally founded in 1951 as an independent domestic airline, JAL was reorganized in 1953 as a semi-government corporation. In February 1954 it launched international scheduled services to the U.S. West Coast and Hong Kong. In 1987 JAL was fully privatized The international network extends over 243 passenger routes and 36 cargo routes. The Group´s domestic network covers 166 routes. JAL also offers the biggest network between Japan and China. The airline´s major international hubs in Japan are Tokyo´s Narita Airport and Kansai International Airport in Osaka. The main JAL domestic hub is Tokyo´s Haneda Airport. With 17,925 employees, JAL operates a fleet of 280 aircraft including Boeing 747s and B777s and is now in the process of a major fleet renewal, introducing more fuel-efficient small and medium aircraft such as the B737 New Generation series and the new high-tech Boeing 787 Dreamliner. A member of the oneworld global alliance from April 2007, JAL offers customers many benefits, such as the JAL Mileage Bank frequent flier program. Royal Jordanian Airlines

One of the leading Jordanian companies, Royal Jordanian was established in 1963 as the national air carrier. On Feb. 5, 2001, RJ was registered under the name of "Alia", the Royal Jordanian Airline Public Shareholding Company. The company is presently heading toward selling 74% of its shares to local and international investors and the Jordanian government is keeping 26% of the shares. Royal Jordanian headquarters are located in the heart of the capital, Amman, and its flights are operated from Queen Alia International Airport. The RJ fleet includes: Airbus A310, A320, A321, A340, Q400 and Embraer 195 aircraft. To date, Royal Jordanian concluded the modernization program of its short- and medium-haul fleet, having replaced the leased Airbus 310 and 320 aircraft with six modern, newly manufactured A320 and A321 aircraft. Additionally, RJ has received 2 Embraer 195s so far under a contract signed with the Brazilian Embraer for the acquisition of seven Embraer 195 aircraft. The airline announced that it had selected the wide-body Boeing 787 Dreamliner as the replacement aircraft for its long range Airbus A340s, starting with 2010. Seven to eight B 787 will join the RJ fleet. It is also planning to replace its two older Airbus A321s with two new A321 aircraft, in addition to introducing two new Airbus A319s early in 2008. Thus, the airline´s fleet will reach 35 aircraft by 2011. Networkwise, the airline will open two new direct routes to Montreal and to the Hungarian capital, Budapest. RJ is considering expanding its route network during the coming three years, to several points aroound the world. Royal Jordanian currently has marketing alliances, through code sharing, with several international airlines.
