This street offers a wide variety of familiar stores of all types and colors.
A heavily commercial area.
Centrally located in Old Havana, Obispo Street is one of the most important streets to know if shopping is your thing. It ends at the Plaza de Armas square, and along the way you'll find a great variety of shops. Many are very small but charming family businesses that sell crafts or items related to Cuban culture. There are music stores, bookstores, galleries that sell paintings and antiques, etc. In each one the shop keepers will happily offer you a detailed explanation of the products they sell, of life on the island and of life itself! That's just how Cubans are.
