Valley of Viñales (Pinar del Río)

Sea inside.

It's true that a great part of tourism in Cuba focuses on its endless and breathtaking beaches, such as Varadero, but inland you can also find incomparable natural and cultural beauty as well. A perfect example is the Viñales valley at the westernmost tip of the island, but inland at the Sierra de los Órganos, in the Guaniguanico mountain range. The scenery created by its karstic mountains is startling and unique to the area. By the way, these are the so-called mogotes, Its ecosystem hosts a variety of flora and fauna native to the island that play a crucial role in preserving the island's natural heritage. That's why it's considered the Cathedral of Tropical Karst, as well as being declared a UNESCO Cultural Landscape of Humanity Site in 1999.
