Quality that is hard to beat.
To the southwest of the island in one of the most remote spots of Gran Canaria, you'll find this little sea village which is known for its mix of small colourful boats surrounded by steep cliffs at the other extreme. The king of the Village of San Nicolás is, without a doubt, the tomato, a fruit of excellent quality that's exported to numerous European ports such as those in the United Kingdom or the Netherlands, for example, and are then distributed around the continent. The qualities that this variety contributes to the Canarian vegetable garden are unique, and this is something that you can taste, but you won't be able to compare to any other tomato that you have tried before, as these have a particularly intense taste. The Village of San Nicolás also has indigenous livestock, which allows them to prepare delicious cheese. And if you're still hungry, we recommend that you continue a little further as far as Tasarte, which is another little coastal village where you can taste a very special octopus dish: la ropavieja de pulpo.
