Delightful market up north
On Ibiza's northern coast, about a half hour's drive from capital Eivissa, the centre of the charming whitewashed town of Sant Joan de Labritja (site of the resort of Portinatx) is home to a Sunday morning market in which some of the island's bests artists, artisans, and farmers offer their wares. Here you'll find paintings, embroidery, handmade pottery and jewelry, and beauty products. Also edible, largely organic delights - produce, but also sweets, honey, baked goods, teas, and much more. There are usually a few music acts on hand to serenade the proceedings, as well. A lovely - and most productive - experience indeed!
