Impressive craggy and splashy
Some of Lanzarote's most dramatic scenery can be found on its southwestern coast below Timanfaya Park in the form of spectacularly craggy cliffs, formed by magma then eroded by wind and water, their holes and crevices creating equally spectacular spray when pounded by the Atlantic surf (in fact, its name comes from the Spanish word for boiling, hervidero).
