Teguise Open Air Market
Sunday morning is the time for foodies and shoppers to flock to downtown Teguise
The most popular in the Canary Islands
Even more popular than Haría's Saturday market, its Sunday-morning counterpart in Teguise is quite popular with locals and visitors alike (not to mention the occasional pickpocket, so have a care) for its selection of all manner of products from Lanzarote's artists, artisans, and artisanal food producers. In fact, it may well be the largest and most popular of its kind in all the Canary Islands. Here, of the non-edible type, you'll find exquisite leatherwork, ceramics, and products made from local cactus and aloe vera. On the comestible side, of particular note are the delicious local wines and cheeses.
