Welcome to one of the shopping areas in Naples. If you are looking for old books and unlisted music, then this is your place!
Epicentre of the Spanish Quarter.
Crossing Via Toledo (one of the main streets of Naples), you will find the Spanish Quarter. This network of streets is one of the oldest in the city, and as the epicentre of the district, you will find the Piazza Dante, which is a square that functions as the host of this commercial area since nearly as far back as the 16th century. But if you go back centuries in time, this place was simply where the residents used to trade in the city's first flea markets. This square was also a food market where fish, meat, and other products brought from other areas in the country were bought every morning. Now it has turned into one of the most popular commercial areas in Naples, and this is basically because it's in front of the Galleria Principe di Napoli. The construction of this shopping centre began in 1869 and was inaugurated in 1883. By the way, all of this area is known for hiding a good few shops and stalls that offer old books and unlisted music.
