An enormous, artistically important cathedral within the Prague Castle complex.
Prague's top Gothic church.
A major element of the Prague Castle complex, the mostly Gothic Katedrála Svatého Víta (Cathedral of St. Vitus) was begun in 1344 but took a breathtaking nearly 600 years to completely finish. Apart from being of incalculable artistic value, the cathedral is historically notable also for being the spot where all the kings of Bohemia were crowned.
