With more than a century of history, the walls of this emblematic building will show you the history of the city.
Symbol of the history of the city.
The Jaffa district, in the south of Tel Aviv, is Israel's port, as well as this city's historic core, where 3,000 years ago the area's first inhabitants settled. In the southern part of this district, as if offering a greeting amid endless palms, is the Jaffa Clock Tower. It was built in 1906 during Ottoman Turkish rule to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, and has become one of Jaffa's symbols. The walls and windows of this building tell the story of the city's mixed and tumultuous past with its mix of three religions.
