Volcanic eruption on the Island of La Palma

Due to the volcanic eruption that is occurring on the Island of La Palma affecting also Tenerife Island, some of our flights may be affected.

Faced with this situation beyond Iberia's control, customers with an Iberia operated 075 ticketed issued by 6 October to or from La Palma or Tenerife airports who flight up to 31 October 2021, may rebook to an alternative date until 31 January, 2022*. Also you can request a refund in the form of a voucher. If you bought your ticket to fly with us through a travel agency, you must consult the agency to modify your booking.

Blackout Periods:

  • From 3 to 12 December, 2021.
  • From 17 December, 2021 to  9 January, 2022

Operational restrictions to fly to Venezuela

Due to the flight restrictions that affect the airport of Caracas (CCS), customers with an Iberia operated 075 ticketed issued by 14 September to or from Caracas airport who flight up to March, 2022, may travel to/from Panama (PTY) or Santo Domingo (SDQ) or rebook to an alternative date from March 27th, 2022.

Traveling to the U.S. with dogs / cats

Starting July 14, 2021, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has issued a temporary suspension of dogs (carry-on or checked), including fully-trained service dogs, traveling to the U.S. from a country considered high-risk for dog rabies.

Only service dogs traveling to the U.S. from high-risk countries with an approved CDC Dog Import Permit may fly. Cats from high-risk countries will not be accepted as carry-on or checked pets during the suspension.

Please consult the list of countries considered high-risk and all the information about the CDC temporary suspension.

Operational restrictions to fly to Argentina

 

Due to the flight restrictions that affect the airport of Buenos Aires, customers with an Iberia operated 075 ticketed issued by 1 October to or from Ezeiza airport who flight up to October 31st, 2021 may rebook to an alternative date up to November 30th, 2021.

Flight updates due to the evolution of Coronavirus

Due to COVID-19 and the restrictions applied by certain countries, we're extending our flexible fare policy to flights operated by Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum.
