Hollywood Boulevard

The walk of fame.

Few tourists who come to Los Angeles resist the temptation to get their picture taken at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, walking in the steps of the stars of the big screen. On the tiles of this legendary street, right on Hollywood Boulevard, there are over 2,000 stars with the names of celebrities from the world of music, ballet, or cinema, including Spanish stars such as Julio Iglesias, Plácido Domingo, Antonio Banderas, Penélope Cruz, or Javier Bardem. The whole area oozes glamour, starting by the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, an exclusive establishment which hosted the first Oscar ceremonies. It was completely restored in 2005. Close by, the Chinese Theatre (www.tclchinesetheatres.com) shares a space with the Kodak Theatre (www.kodaktheatre.com). The two buildings need no introduction; many hundreds of cinema stars have imprinted their hands on the pavement. The spectacle continues next door, with another two buildings linked to the compound. First, El Capital Theatre (www.elcapitan.go.com), where Walt Disney premiers almost all their films. Then, the Egyptian Theatre (www.egyptiantheatre.net), whose claim to fame is being the first great Hollywood cinema, inaugurated in 1922.
