Cathedral of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
You can enjoy one of the best views of the city from its south tower.
The culmination of local architecture.
Easily recognizable due its two magnificent twin towers that watch the city from high above, the Catedral Basilica de Santa Ana is found located in the Vegueta district in which stand the majority of the island's historic monuments. One of its main characteristics lies in the time that it took to build, as the construction work had to be stopped on several occasions, which is something that allowed it to be home to such different styles such as gothic or neoclassic. Its biggest celebration is held every 26th November. Do you want to enjoy some fantastic views? There is a lift in its south tower in which you'll have the opportunity to visit the top of the cathedral. This is an extraordinary point from where you can observe a large part of the city and its surrounding coastline. As a must-visit, the Catedral de Santa Ana is considered as the most outstanding of Canarian architecture.
