Traditional Folk Music/Dance at the Canarian Village
Besides architecture, this collection of buildings built in old Canarian style showcases the islands' typical products, cuisine, and every Sunday morning, their folk music and dances.
Enjoy music and dance performances on Sundays at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria's traditional Pueblo Canario.
Established in 1882 in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias' Doramas Park, this faux, traditional-style Canarian village is home to shops, a restaurant, and an art museum. In addition, every Sunday at 12 noon there are performances of folkloric music and dance such as the Sirinoque, Aires de Lima, and Baile del Trigo (look for the special ukulele-like instrument known as the timple). And the audience is encouraged to join in!
