Founded in March 1944, the Melilla Maritime Club is a lodestar for the city. Its facilities are divided into various areas such as a game room, reading room, children's play areas, and wet areas. The club offers sailing instruction for beginners and more advanced levels. You can also come in to dine at the Punto y Coma Restaurant, with a special reserved area and an outside deck with wonderful bay views. Other offerings include El Chiringuito, open till the wee hours; La Cafetería, lovely for enjoying breakfast with a sea view; and an exhibition space (located in the Plaza de España) dedicated to promoting young artists both from Melilla and elsewhere in Spain.
