To take in a live performance, head to Abbey Theatre, which was founded by Yeats in 1904. The Temple Bar, with its cobbled alleyways, is one of the city’s most charming areas, as well as its largest cultural hub. Located south of the River Liffey, this is the best place for a stroll and a pint of Ireland’s famous Guinness. The popular Grafton Street is lined with a multitude of shops, along with Bewley’s, the city’s most famous café, where literary celebrities such as Joyce used to write. A visit to this institution will take you back to the 19th century.
