Russafa Neighbourhood

Alt/boho nights

A 20-minute stroll south of Valencia's medieval Old Town, the city's boho district par excellence for the last several years is a workaday, multi-ethnic, but lately delightfully funky neighbourhood revolving around and named for another public market, the Mercat Russafa (Ruzafa in Spanish). It's an especially great area to hit the tapas bars; the many different kinds of eateries (not just Spanish/Valencian but also Mexican, Italian, vegan, and much more); and the pubs and clubs. An eclectic bit of business indeed for a night out, whether enjoying a pint with friends, taking in a live music show, or just settling in for a quiet, romantic dinner with your significant other.
