This space has become a benchmark for Spanish cooperation
A hub of activity and dynamism
An extensive weekly event calendar has made the Spanish Cultural Centre one of the most active public spaces in Nicaragua's capital. Located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Managua, this centre's existence is the product of cooperative undertakings between Spain and Latin America, and integrates a network of Spanish cultural spaces from all across the world: concerts, photography exhibitions, recitals, cinema screenings, workshops, courses and talks are frequently held at the centre, which also boasts a library and media archive that is open to the public. The centre also houses the Instituto Nicaragüense de Cultura Hispánica (INCH) (the Nicaraguan Institute of Spanish Culture) and the Academia Nicaragüense de la Lengua (Nicaraguan Academy of Language), which offer independent events and activities.
