Change of terminal at London-Heathrow

Due to operational reasons, from 12 July all our flights to and from London Heathrow will use Terminal 3.

Check-in desk
If you need to drop off luggage or haven't got your boarding pass online and need to get a physical one at Heathrow Airport, you'll find Iberia's new check-in area in Zone C of Terminal 3.

Fast track and VIP lounges
This new terminal offers the fast track service and two VIP lounges - the Galleries Club and the First Lounge - available to Iberia customers under the same conditions as the previous ones.

Flights operated by British Airways
If any of your flights are operated by British Airways, you will still need to go to Terminal 5. You can find more information in the following links: Heathrow Map and Connecting flights.

Connecting flights
If you have a connecting flight that may be affected by this terminal change, you'll receive a notification informing you of the changes.

Where does Iberia operate at London-Heathrow Airport (LHR)?

From 12 Iberia will use Terminal 3 at London-Heathrow Airport (LHR) for all operations.

Where's the check-in area?

The check-in area in Terminal 3 is Zone C.

Will it offer the same services as the old terminal?

Yes, the services provided are the same as in the old terminal, including special service requests (Unaccompanied Minors, Person with Reduced Mobility, etc.), fast track and VIP lounges. The VIP lounges available in Terminal 3 are the Galleries Club and the First Lounge, which Iberia customers may use in the same conditions as the previous ones.

Does this change affect both the departure and arrival of flights?

Yes, the arrivals area is also located in Terminal 3.

Why is Iberia changing its terminal?

The change is due to operational reasons and will improve both our flight operations and the service provided to customers.

Where will codeshare flights with other airlines operate from?

British Airways (BA) will continue to operate out of Terminal 5. In fact, it is currently moving most of its flights to that terminal. Accordingly, Iberia flights operated with British Airways aircraft will depart from and arrive at Terminal 5.
American Airlines (AA) is moving to Terminal 3 on the same date as IB.

What about flights operated by Iberia but with a British Airways flight number? Which terminal will they use?

If it's a marketing flight with a BA flight number but operated by Iberia, boarding, departure and arrival will all take place in Terminal 3.

What if I already have a connecting flight with BA?

If the connection time is sufficient to change terminals, there won't be any issue and you won't need to change your ticket. You should go to the British Airways terminal to take the connecting flight. In any case, it is very important to check the terminal because although BA is currently moving most of its flight to Terminal 5, some BA flights will still operate out of Terminal 3.
If the connection time isn't sufficient, the airline operating the first flight will try to change it to ensure enough time to make the connection. Iberia is already making these changes and informing customers of their new flights.
If there is no change alternative, the flight will be cancelled and you will be entitled to request a refund.

What if I accidentally find myself in the wrong terminal?

If you are in the wrong terminal, you have to go to the correct one for the departure of your flight. Please bear in mind that the terminals are quite far apart, so if you don't arrive in time to board your flight we advise you to contact the airline and we'll offer you another alternative.

How do I get from one terminal to another?

Heathrow Airport has published information about the options for travelling between terminals. The following links provide information about the mode of transport, distance and travel time between terminals:
https://www.heathrow.com/at-the-airport/airport-maps/travel-between-terminals &

¿In wich Terminal other than T5 does British Airways operate and to which destinatións?

Furthermore, these animals may only enter the country through an approved airport or port of entry. Granada-Jaén airport is not approved for these purposes and pets are therefore not permitted for this destination.
