Basket Street
A street that souvenir-seekers should check out, for its high-quality baskets, bags, and more
Something wicker this way comes
Several blocks south of the Ciutat Vella (Old Town), The pedestrian Calle del Músico Peydró is better known to all as Calle de las Cestas, Basket Street, thanks to its many wicker workshops and shops, located here since the 1940s and passed down from generation to generation, and more vital than ever. Thus this street offers visitors another opportunity to pick up high-quality merchandise - woven baskets, bags, even furniture and other items - which are both useful and very typical of Valencia. Some have also branched out a bit to wood items. Highly recommended.
