Valencia's shopping scene is spread out among several areas in the Ciutat Vella (the historic centre), and the Eixample, the 19th-century expansion beyond the Old Town walls. In particular, the Old Town's Carrer del Poeta Querol, just a few steps away from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, is perhaps the city's luxury-shopping epicentre, home to upmarket brands such as Montblanc, Michael Kors, Lladró, Louis Vuitton, Salvatore Ferragamo, and others of their ilk (intermixed here, however, are also more than a few more accessible shops with some pretty original merchandise).
