Incredible views of the city and its surroundings from 871 metres high.
Touching the sky
The city of Zurich has always shown a curious mix that combines the advances of one of Europe's most powerful cities, (particularly when it comes it its economy), with the strongholds of the small village in which the city began to rise hundreds of years ago. At a few kilometres from the urban centre, you'll find the Uetliberg, which is known as Zurich's very own mountain, and is actually the highest point of the city. At 871 metres up, you can see the city's territory, the lakes, and also the Alps from this enclave which offers some really spectacular panoramic views. During summer, this place becomes a bike route that goes as far as the station of Felsenegg. You can easily see the star-system from here which is why it's called the 'Planet Trail', and this is a very popular place for visitors. This whole area stands out for being a fun sleigh trail during the winter, and it's a spectacular viewpoint throughout the whole year.
