The capital of the ‘Beautiful Island’, Santa Cruz de La Palma is a beautiful and charming Colonial city, founded in 1493 under the name ‘Villa Apurón’. It is located in the eastern part of La Palma island, where the lava of an old volcanic crater used to flow, now known as the Caldereta.
