Latin America: We're open!
Spain is open to international tourists again and Iberia has increased its summer flights to Latin America
On 7 June Spain reopened to international tourists. With certain conditions, such as arrivals needing to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (Consulta más aquí), but with open arms and eager anticipation. In this new scenario, Iberia is keen to retrieve its status as the natural bridge between Europe and Latin America. After all, we've been flying there for 75 year! So, as restrictions ease and we resume normality, we're forging right ahead this summer by relaunching routes and increasing frequencies between June and September: in total, 18 cities in 16 Latin American countries and more than 90 flights every week.
Are you coming? Here's what we're offering:
Mexico. 12 weekly flights to Mexico City in July and August, and 14 in September.
Colombia. One flight a day to Bogotá and, starting in July, two flights a week to Cali.
Chile. One flight a day to Santiago de Chile.
Brazil. One flight a day to Sao Paulo.
Ecuador. In July and August, six flights a week to Quito and three to Guayaquil.
Uruguay. To Montevideo we have three flights a week in July and five in August.
Cuba. Four flights a week to Havana in July and August and five in September.
Panama. Six flights a week to Panama during the summer months.
Costa Rica. One flight a day to San José this summer.
Guatelama and El Salvador. Four flights a week to Guatemala City - San Salvador.
Puerto Rico. Three flights a week to San Juan, Puerto Rico as from July.
Dominican Republic. Eleven flights a week to Santo Domingo.
Argentina. In June, we're operating three flights a week to Buenos Aires, which we hope to double to six flights a week in August.
Venezuela. We are still waiting for Venezuela to reopen to be able to resume our scheduled flights to Caracas, but in the meantime we'll be operating a special flight on 14 June.
