Calle de la Franja, Calle de la Barrera, and Calle de la Estrellas
You've got to go tapas-bar-hopping at least once in A Coruña, and these three streets are ground zero for grazing.
Right downtown, Calle de la Franja is home to some of the city's best seafood joints (also some of its most touristy, but hey…). During the summer, its streetside tables are of course especially popular. The surrounding streets also include two of the city's most popular stretches to tapear (go tapas-bar-hopping): Calle de la Barrera and Calle de la Estrella. And while you're at it, don't forget to try a local speciality, tequeños, which are doughy little balls stuffed with sausage or ham and cheese. Yet other streets worth trolling for tapas include pub- and bar-lined Calle de la Galera, Calle Olmos, and Calle Troncoso. Bring your appetite!
