The Parador Nacional Restaurant
Fine local cuisine, excellent Spanish wines, and heartstopping panoramas. Put this on your list.
Spectacular views, spectacular chews.
The restaurant of the Parador Nacional de Melilla has two huge pluses even beyond the fine quality of its cuisine: a spectacular panoramic vista over the city thanks to its raised location, as well as its elegant, modern dining room. You'll find recipes typical of Melilla cuisine, though you will also find tapas, plate specials and set menus offering green salads or soups as appetisers, plus a main course usually consisting of fish, such as monkfish casserole or fried filets. It's also notable for its dessert menu, mostly Spanish but with some Moroccan specialties as well, such as bastille (a sweet meat pie made of - squab!). All of this is accompanied by the best of the top Spanish wine regions.
