For cheap, tasty local treats, just hit the downtown streets.
Snacks at stands.
Dozens of street stands can be found in central and Old Town Prague selling all manner of inexpensive street food - not just sandwiches, hamburgers, and fries, but uniquely local treats like klobasa (smoky fried sausage), trdelnik pastries, smažený sýr (fried cheese), and, in winter, svařené víno (mulled wine), normally made with red wine, spices like cinnamon and clove, sometimes with vodka or brandy added, and served with raisins and peeled almonds. Some of these stands are open both day and night - especially those around Wenceslas Square, known for its lively nighttime scene.
