Thanks to the Boston National Historical Park, the memory of the American fight for independence is kept alive in the hearts of the city's millions of visitors. In fact, Boston is also known as the Cradle of Liberty for its fundamental role in the country’s fight against the British. The Boston National Historical Park is an association of parks and places of interest (many of which are connected by the Freedom Trail), managed by a federal agency known as the National Park Service. It includes famous monuments such as the Bunker Hill Monument, the Charlestown Navy Yard or the Dorchester Heights fort.
