Welcome to the Paris of Latin America.
This is one of the reasons why Buenos Aires is often referred to as the Paris of Latin America. At the end of the 19th century, the original architects of these galleries, Francisco Seeber and Emilio Bunge, wanted to recreate the luxury and elegance of the Parisian Bon Marché shops on the other side of the ocean. Its impressive interior attracts over 900,000 visitors every month, from tourist and customers to those simply attracted by its magnificence. The central dome is a popular architectural attraction, along with its glass vaults. Since its renovation in 1945, it has been filled with artistic murals. Brands such as Chanel, Christian Lacroix and Lancome, along with other sports, perfume and accessory brands and restaurants, occupy over 150 spaces, which have been there since 1992, when they were known as the ‘Pacific Galleries’. Located on the central Florida Avenue, they are open every day of the week.
