Spago restaurant's main claim to fame is its owner, Wolfgang Puck, a famous chef of Asian origin who runs nearly a hundred establishments around the world. Known for its innovative fusion cuisine, he is one the chefs who has been most successful in combining Asian and western cooking styles. His incredibly successful business career started in 1982, when he opened his first establishment in California. Thanks to the fame which his dishes quickly acquired, he very soon had four more establishments around the country. This number has continued to increase at a steady and constant rate. All of these restaurants have an eclectic atmosphere, including the one in Beverly Hills, situated on 176 North Canon Drive. It has been a common meeting point for celebrities and undergone significant remodelling over the years. Some of its specialities are unique pizza and pasta dishes, as well as many Chinese delicacies, such as roast duck. Proof of its fame are the many prizes and awards it has received in recent years.
