Three good choices - San Lorenzo, Los Cortados, or La Hípica.
A dose of sun, sea, and sand.
The coast all around Melilla offers some splendid, powdery white beaches. One of the three top choices is Playa de San Lorenzo, between the docks and the Río de Oro, which then becomes Playa de los Cárabos along Paseo Marítimo Mir Berlanga. Two others which are definitely worthwhile are Playa de la Hípica, where you can also rent watercraft, and Playa de los Cortados. Whichever you choose, you'll find that in Melilla, families will spend the entire day at the beach, and even till as late as 8pm, taking a picnic supper and enjoying the sea during the most pleasant hours leading up till sunset. Keep that in mind!
