We owe this tour round Murcia to the López Ferrer family who reveal the city's true distinguishing marks.
Discover this museum in the tower called the Torre de Junterón.
Inside this tower called the Torre de Juntarón which was raised in the Murcian capital during the 16th century, you'll find this museum which belongs to the López Ferrer family. On this plot of land, a different museum to the others opened its doors to the public in 1999. The Museo de la Ciudad maintains its objective of showing an evolutionary journey from its origins through to its historic and artistic heritage. Like this, you'll get to discover the distinguishing marks of the area through its ethnography, craftwork, and history. One of the most interesting sections is the exhibition on the change and transformation that the city underwent geographically and urbanely after Alfonso X the Wise's visit with all of his measures for the city, and after the battles between the Christians and the Muslims. You'll also be able to see in detail how people used to live in Murcia during the 17th, 18th, and 20th centuries.
