This museum of the French army is located in the Hôtel National des Invalides. You’ll be amazed by its extensive collection of weaponry and armour, the largest in Europe, and its detailed representation of the military, political, social and industrial history of France from Louis XIV to Napoleon I. Whilst its collection dedicated to the French army during the two World Wars is also well worth a visit, the Tomb of Napoleon I remains the museum’s most popular attraction. Its interactive multimedia space documenting the life and achievements of the President of the 5th French Republic, Charles de Gaulle, is yet another entirely unique feature.
