If you are looking for a particular restaurant, where you can experience something a little different in the city, we recommend the legendary Balneario de la Concha, which is two attractions rolled into one. The first is its location, in the middle of the El Sardinero neighbourhood, on Concha Beach. The restaurant is on the second floor and has a giant window overlooking the sea, which is worth a visit in itself. The second attraction is the food, which is a mixture that reflects Santander cuisine. El Balneario de la Concha mixes meat and fish from the area in a refined, avant-garde and delicious manner. Any seafood dish is worth trying, if you are looking to sample Cantabrian gastronomy. We recommend, if you have time, taking your after-dinner coffee outside to the upper terrace and looking out onto the sea. What a breathtaking experience.
