Calle Río de la Pila is one of the city's oldest areas for nightlife. This neighbourhood is known for its particular slope and the cable car that connects Calle Río de la Pila and Calle Prado de San Roque. At night, there is a lively atmosphere with lots of premises, bars and restaurants. People most come here to have tapas on the terraces. The prices are reasonable and, for many, it's the perfect way to start a night out in Santander.
